Owsley Debut Double Delight

Apache winger Freddie Owsley made his debut for Edinburgh against Brive in the European Champions Cup on Friday the 21st of January.

Freddie wasted no time in making his mark on European rugby. The electric winger showed his famous pace by scoring a try in the 38th minute when he collected a ball that was hacked ahead from his own 22 metre line to race a full 80 metres to dot down. Not content with that, he was on the score sheet again just 4 minutes later, collecting an offload from Kunavula and again leaving a trail of defenders in his wake and scorch marks on the pitch and he raced away to the corner.

Owsley played for Apache in 2019 where he contributed to a number of successful outings for

the team, including a chip & chase try and Bournemouth which proved to be the decisive score in the final. Following the 2019 season, Freddie had a spell at Bristol before making the move to Edinburgh in the summer of 2021.
